muse: ok why a box tho. not a book, a box
treskow: been sitting with this idea for years. did something similar with sexperimental already — that's the whole philosophy behind my physical stuff. everything should exist in one unrepeatable form, never a copy
a book's fixed. same pages, every copy identical. a box isn't.
I fill it fresh every time
muse: fresh how
treskow: one shoot, one muse, a lot of photos come out of it. every box pulls a different slice from that pool — never the same composition twice, even out of one single shoot
muse: even from the same shoot, same woman
treskow: especially then. one afternoon, one energy, splitting into a hundred different versions depending on what gets pulled
muse: notes and letters too?
treskow: every time, new ones. written once, never reused
muse: and the prints themselves
treskow: different paper, sizes, formats, on purpose. glossy next to matte, big next to small — pulls you further into the mood of that day, like the materials are part of the memory
muse: so nobody's holding "the shoot." they're holding one mood you cut out of it
treskow: exactly. same muse, same day, different door every time
