sexperimental

A limited-edition art book where photography, dialogue, and experiment merge into a breathing, pulsing world of intimate memories and desire.
CONCEPT
Sexperimental began as a need to make something
real—something physical. A personal form of storytelling. Each copy is unique, handcrafted, and shaped by the unpredictable rhythm of the creative process.

It started in hotel rooms. These in-between spaces—temporary, anonymous—turned into makeshift studios, cinematic backdrops, places to improvise. I wanted the book to carry that same energy, so I began weaving in hotel stationery, scribbled notes, and hidden elements tucked between pages.

There’s no single way to experience Sexperimental. It’s meant to be handled, interpreted, explored. The texture of the paper, the scent of ink, the weight of the materials—they’re all part of how the story unfolds. Each page is a scene, a fragment, a moment suspended.

Every reader becomes part of that process. Curating their own version. Like the moments behind the lens, no two copies are ever the same.
INSPIRATION
INSPIRATION
Inspired by the legacy of iconic photographers who transformed hotel rooms into evocative settings, this project delves deeper into the mystique of the modern woman.

It seeks to celebrate the multifaceted nature of feminine power - from quiet confidence to provocative sexuality - within the intimate and transformative space of a hotel room.

Building on the foundations laid by masters like Newton, Sieff, and Bourdin, this project reimagines the hotel room not as a backdrop but as a sanctuary where women reveal their true selves.

It pays homage to their work while infusing a contemporary perspective that empowers and glorifies the feminine spirit.
JURIJ TRESKOW'S PHOTOGRAPHS
EVOLUTION
While acknowledging the historical use of hotel rooms to depict glamour and sensuality, this project shifts the focus towards celebrating the diverse expressions of female power.

It aims to capture the raw energy, mystery, and feminine grace that define the modern woman, showcasing her strength, vulnerability, and unapologetic sexuality.
Artistic Vision
Drawing inspiration from the femme fatale archetype, the project seeks to portray women who are both alluring and empowered. It aims to magnify their beauty and radiance while capturing their complexity and depth.

The hotel room serves as a metaphorical stage where they can shed societal expectations and embrace their authentic selves.
Technical Approach
Utilizing the hotel room's unique atmosphere, the project will employ a combination of carefully crafted lighting, composition, and styling to create images that are both visually striking and emotionally resonant.

The focus will be on capturing candid moments, intimate portraits, and evocative narratives that celebrate the feminine spirit in all its glory.
WHAT I BRING - JURIJ TRESKOW
• Exclusive visual content: High-end, club-inspired photography (new or reinterpreted from archive), designed to reflect the aesthetic and energy of Hotel Particulier.

• Creative direction & production: As the photographer, I develop original concepts for each shoot, assemble and direct a team, and execute the sessions. The photographs born from these moments become the foundation of the book.

• Original visual design: Art direction in line with the Sexperimental style — elegant, provocative, and emotionally charged.

• Special edition Polaroids: A series of signed, limited-edition Polaroids sealed in envelopes — intimate, collectible fragments of the Sexperimental world.

• Fine art prints: Select images from the book printed in museum-quality editions, available for sale or exhibition.

• Promotion: Through my own creative network (socials, newsletter, press contacts, possible gallery tie-ins).

• Exclusive one-of-one book for the hotel:
The idea is to create a unique, single-copy edition of the book made exclusively for the hotel. This bespoke volume becomes the centerpiece of the vernissage — an artwork in itself, revealed and presented only during the launch event.

• Launch concept & vernissage:
Develop a full concept for the book launch and vernissage — an original exhibition showcasing the photographs that shaped the book, combined with an immersive performance and opportunities for guests to engage creatively and emotionally in the process of image-making.
Overall Impact
This project aims to contribute to the ongoing conversation about female empowerment and representation in art and photography.

By showcasing the diverse beauty and strength of women, it seeks to challenge stereotypes and inspire viewers to embrace their own unique power and radiance.
